MRM’s Housekeeping (July 2024)

Website Upgrade Continues

The MRM Website is in the process of getting upgraded! Why? The website has been operational for quite some time and functions off of an outdated platform causing it to be rather “clunky.” Feedback from the board, members and potential members is that it is challenging to navigate to become a member, manage memberships, connect to the club, find event info, etc. Sean Radcliffe our Website Guru and Pam Kingston, who brings a background in sales/marketing/website development, will be working together to complete the upgrade and smooth out processes to make the site more user friendly.

Chiller and Membership Shirts

I am slowly making my way through the list of folks needing to collect their shirts. If you haven’t been emailed yet, you will be and you can reach out to me directly as well! I am attempting to avoid mailing shirts as much as possible, but if you did respond that that is the best way, please know they will all be mailed at one mail drop vs me making multiple trips to the post office. As a reminder, shirts can  be collected on Wednesday nights at the ConVal Track or you can connect via cell: 603-801-5762 to set up a different time that works for you.

Becka Lyons

The other co president Becka Lyons has been running since the 5th grade, joining the high school cross country team in the 7th grade to be coached by Mike Smith when the middle school team didn’t have enough participation. Under Smith, Becka learned not only the ins and outs of running and won the 2006 Division 3 XC Championship Team title, but also all of the life skills that go with it; perseverance, goal setting, determination, and grit just to name a few. It would be those life skills that carried her from Mascenic Regional High School onto Quinnipiac University to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy and eventually open her own PT clinic with her husband, Elevation Physical Therapy & Sports Rehab in Peterborough, NH. Combining her passions for running and therapy, Becka held the Assistant Coach position for all things running at Mascenic for the last 4 years, bringing home both a boy’s and girl’s Division 3 team titles (only other Girl’s title since 2006!). When not at Elevation PT, Becka is usually found on the trails with her husband and black lab, gardening, or curled up with a book and a cup of tea.
