Congratulations to all the athletes that have competed in the last couple weekends of Championship cross country. The Mascenic Vikings (boys) won their fifth Division 3 State Championship over Kearsare, 56 to 78. Finishing as the top five for Mascenic was Landen Vaillancourt (2nd), Josh Movsessian (5th), Michael Fappiano Puttre (10th), DJ Turner (15th) and Logan Thibault (24th.) Joining the boys team at Meet of Champions was the lady Vikes, led by senior Samantha Bilodeau who finished 12th overall, leading the team to a fourth place berth. The squad at ConVal had a solid showing as well, with the girl’s team finishing fourth in a very tough Division 2. Clare Ververka and Rachel Hurley paced the girls team, finishing seventh and fourteenth. Evan Coyne joined the girls team at MOCs, finishing eleventh. The team runs would end at MOCs, however both Ververka and Hurley would finish high enough to qualify for next week’s New England championship in Belfast, Maine.
